PreHistory-
Chalcolithic Period

During the Chalcolithic period, which saw extensive use of copper and stone (Chalcolithic means “copper-stone” in Greek), a rich culture flourished in the Land of Israel. Its remains are found at many sites throughout the country, from Peki‘in and the Golan in the north and to the Negev in the south. We have no written sources from this time to tell us about it simply because writing had not yet been invented.
