The Isaiah Seal
A seal inscribed with the words “Isaiah Navi (or Novi)” was discovered in the Ophel excavations by Dr. Eilat Mazar, next to the seal of King Hezekiah. Some believe that this was the seal of Isaiah the prophet (ha-Navi in Hebrew), but others disagree, suggesting instead that it might have belonged to a person named Isaiah who came from the city of Nov (ha-Novi in Hebrew), north of Jerusalem.
