The City of David is Reborn

In the nineteenth century the hill of City of David returned to center stage. In 1873, Rahamim Meyuhas, whose family had lived in the Old City, built a new home there. This was the first home built in the City of David since it was abandoned in the eleventh century when the city diminished in size.
