Three Walls on a Single Slope

In the fifth century CE the Byzantine Queen Eudocia rebuilt the city wall of Jerusalem. Remains of this wall have been found in a few places, including on the southern slopes of Mount Zion. The archeologist Dr. Yohanan Zelinger discovered remains of the wall along the line where the city walls both from the First Temple and the Second Temple periods were found.
