The Hellenistic Period (Third Century BCE): Grandeur and Beauty

In the picture: A gold earring discovered in the Givati Parking Lot during excavations by Dr. Yiftah Shalev and Prof. Yuval Gadot, dated to the Hellenistic period (based on a comparison with similar finds from Ashdod). The earring features a hoop ending with the head of a horned animal. The backward-curving horns are made of beaded wires.
