The Arch of Titus in Rome

In the picture: About ten years after the destruction of Jerusalem, a triumphal arch was built in Titus’ honor in Rome. On the inner side of the arch a relief can be seen depicting Temple treasures, with the Temple candelabrum (Menorah) prominently displayed, carried in a procession in Rome. New research shows that the relief was originally painted in vivid colors. The candelabrum was painted yellow-gold.
