“Purity Broke Out in Israel”

In the picture: a seal bearing the words Dekha leyah was discovered beneath the Herodian street near the Temple Mount. These words, in Aramaic, apparently mean “pure for God.” The seal appears to have been used to close a vessel containing offerings to the Temple, and confirm their purity.
