Jerusalem Becomes a Christian City

In the picture: The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is the most important church built in Byzantine Jerusalem. It was constructed by Emperor Constantine the Great in 335, (later its construction was attributed to his mother, Queen Helene). The church remains one of the most important religious focuses in the world for many Christians.
